Welcome!

Welcome! Welcome!

if your chickens could talk, they would ask for our coops

our coops

  • are built with a protective flooring (similar to a vinyl floor) that makes clean out of the coops easier
  • provide mobility
  • provide protection from both predators and the elements
  • make feeding and watering less of a chore
  • have an outside easy-access egg collection door
  • can be customized - you pick the color scheme or any other special feature you may want.

Our coops are built to last with quality materials, craftsmanship, pressure-treated lumber, screws instead of nails, real lumber, not plastic and particle board.

Also, all of our coops can be adapted for use as a rabbit hutch or a dog kennel!

As an add-on feature, we can install a solar-powered door that opens and closes at sunrise and sunset, so you don't always have to be there to let your chickens in and out. Please note that this does not come standard, and there is an extra charge for this feature. For more information about all of our add-on features - see below!

our coops have All the bells & whistles (Standard features)

Egg-Gathering Access

Egg-Gathering Access

Easy egg-gathering door

Get your eggs every day from outside - without having to step a foot into the coop! The door latches securely from the outside, and the chickens access the nest boxes from the inside.

Built-in Nest boxes

Egg-Gathering Access

Chickens like to share. If you have 10 chickens, you don't need 10 nest boxes. We put an adequate number of nest boxes in each of our coops. But you don't need a one-to-one ratio of them. Just like you don't need a rooster to have your hens lay eggs. (And yes, we've been asked that question many times.)

Chickens poop. It's a thing. But you can use it to make your yard greener and your garden grow. And because of the special vinyl-like flooring that's in our chicken coops, you can easily use your broom to sweep it out and your chickens will be living in a nice, clean environment once again.

Add-on features for your coop

Optional - solar powered automatic door

Optional - solar powered automatic door

Optional - solar powered automatic door

image46

The solar-powered automatic door on your coop is a game-changer! This door will automatically open when the sun rises to let your chickens out of the coop  and then it automatically closes at dark securing your chickens in the coop after they have roosted. This will free you from having to be home at dark to close the door behind your chickens to protect them from predators. By far, this is our most popular add-on feature.

Optional - Solar light

Optional - solar powered automatic door

Optional - solar powered automatic door

image47

In the winter, the days get shorter and your chickens' egg production will start to slack off. By having this solar light installed in your coop, your chickens will get the extra hours of light they need each day to keep laying eggs all winter long.

Optional - roll-away nest box

Optional - solar powered automatic door

Optional - Tongue-in-grove pine door

image48

Sometimes chickens will start to peck at their own eggs, destroying them before you have a chance to pick them up. Or, if you're going to be out of town for a couple of days, having this nest box, where the floor is angled and the eggs roll safely to the outside of the coop, out of the chickens' reach, is an ideal situation!

Optional - Tongue-in-grove pine door

image49

If you want your coop to stand out, then you have the option of having your front door made with this beautiful tongue-in-grove pine wood, verses the standard door. This door can be stained or painted a different color to make your coop as unique as you'd like.

Optional - Storage box/Storage Area

Having an extra storage area and/or storage box built inside your coop is a convenient way to keep all the supplies you'll need for your chickens - feed, egg cartons, etc. - very accessible to make caring for your chickens even easier!

optional - insulation

Having insulation installed on the inside of the roof of the shelter is just one more way to protect your chickens from the elements of a harsh winter - or summer.

Optional - black vinyl-coated welded wire

To change the look of your coop, you can choose to have black vinyl-coated welded wire installed  vs. the standard galvanized wire. The black wire is a vinyl coating on the galvanized wire that is longer lasting and makes your coop look different and more "refined," if you will, than our standard coops.
