Our coops are built to last with quality materials, craftsmanship, pressure-treated lumber, screws instead of nails, and real lumber, not plastic and particle board.
Also, all of our coops can be adapted for use as a rabbit hutch or a dog kennel.

No matter what color, shape or size (well, within reason...) we can build the chicken coop for you. Whether it is just customizing the color on one of our standard coops, or coming up with a new design altogether, we can do it. Contact us today for a quote for your dream coop!
Need a playhouse for your children or grandchildren to play, have fun, and dream? We've got just the place for you. Our custom built playouses are out-of-this world cute! We can build them out of cedar, like this one, or make a more traditional looking one with siding that we use on our coops. Learn more about our playhouses here!
Get your eggs every day from outside - without having to step a foot into the coop! The door latches securely from the outside, and the chickens access the nest boxes from the inside.
Chickens like to share. If you have 10 chickens, you don't need 10 nest boxes. We put an adequate number of nest boxes in each of our coops. But you don't need a one-to-one ratio of them. Just like you don't need a rooster to have your hens lay eggs. (And yes, we've been asked that question many times.)
Our coops come with roosting poles so that your chickens can rest easy at night. The poles can be removed from the coop for easy cleaning of the floor and poles and then easily reinstalled.
The windows on our coops open and close for ventilation and warmth -- and when they're open, your flock is still secure because of the heavy duty wire that's in place to protect them!
Chickens poop. It's a thing. But you can use it to make your yard greener and your garden grow. And because of the special vinyl-like flooring that's in our chicken coops, you can easily use your broom to sweep it out and your chickens will be living in a nice, clean environment once again.
Load up this built-in feeder on the inside door of the shelter of your coop with food and your chickens will be set for a while! This feature is standard on every coop.
We want you to be happy with your coop. So whether that means it's painted a traditional red and white, painted to match your house or other outbuildings, or the color of your wife's eyes, it's your choice. The main coop color comes with the cost of the coop as listed above. If you choose a different color for the trim other than white, we charge an additional $50 for the second paint color.
The solar-powered automatic door on your coop is a game-changer! This door will automatically open when the sun rises to let your chickens out of the coop and then it automatically closes at dark securing your chickens in the coop after they have roosted. This will free you from having to be home at dark to close the door behind your chickens to protect them from predators. By far, this is our most popular add-on feature.
Sometimes chickens will start to peck at their own eggs, destroying them before you have a chance to pick them up. Or, if you're going to be out of town for a couple of days, having this nest box, where the floor is angled and the eggs roll safely to the outside of the shelter, out of the chickens' reach, is an ideal situation!
If you want your coop to stand out, then you have the option of having your front door made with this beautiful tongue-in-grove pine wood, (called carboy siding) verses the standard door. This door can be stained or painted a different color to make your coop as unique as you'd like.
Having an extra storage area and/or storage box built inside your coop is a convenient way to keep all the supplies you'll need for your chickens - feed, egg cartons, etc. - very accessible to make caring for your chickens even easier!
The storage box is available in the Garden, Bungalow, Holland & Cottage Coops.
The storage room is available in the Holland and Cottage Coops.
Having insulation installed on the inside of the roof of the shelter is just one more way to protect your chickens from the elements of a hot summer or a harsh winter. The cost of this add-on varies according to the size of the coop ordered.
To change the look of your coop, you can choose to have black vinyl-coated welded wire installed vs. the standard galvanized wire. The black wire is a vinyl coating on the galvanized wire that is longer lasting and makes your coop look different and more "refined," if you will, than our standard coops. The cost of this add-on varies according to the size of the coop ordered.
Chickens like to have fun too! Let them play on a swing of their own! A swing comes standard in our Loft Coops, but you can add one into any of the run areas of our other coops. Yes, we're serious.
